Christopher Reeve Foundation
Individual Research Grants

The CRF Individual Grants Program was founded on the understanding that effective treatments for acute and chronic spinal cord injury will involve carefully orchestrated multi-disciplinary interventions, each tailored to the individual patient. For this reason, the Individual Grants Program, the largest and most comprehensive of the CRF research initiatives, supports investigator-initiated research on a variety of fronts, including axon growth and guidance, remyelination, cellular replacement, rehabilitation and neuroprotection.

NIH Announces Change in Business Process: Replacing principal investigator signature on grant applications, progress reports, and prior approval requests with an institutional compliance requirement.

The signature of the principal investigator is no longer required as a part of a submitted application. Instead, a new compliance requirement is now being implemented where the applicant organization agrees to secure and retain at the organization a written assurance from the principal investigator (PI) prior to submitting an application to the PHS.

This change is effective with competing applications submitted for submission/receipt dates May 10, 2006 and thereafter.
